Jan 4, 2016. Throughout my professional life I have seen many people inside and outside of education climbing the ladder of success come to a point where they discover their ladder was leaning up against the wrong wall. They discover that much of their time and energy has been diminished because their goals were. Most of my friends are caught up in the mythology that you need to get a good job, settle down and chain yourself to a retirement package for the rest of your life. Although I wouldn’t consider my dreams to be unique, I don’t know too many people that share them. I’m purposefully avoiding details such as deadlines and plans in this entry. Although I’m a big believer in writing out your goals and setting plans and deadlines, that isn’t useful here. I want to share the broader vision for my life, not the grittier implementation details.
This essay is also available in Spanish. I took the inspiration for this essay from ThePensters. They can help you in essay writing along with the educational process. This is the true joy in life, being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one, being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap, being a force of nature instead of a feverish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy. ~ George Bernard Shaw Many of us are very busy living lives pursuing the ten-thousand things that are supposed to make us happy. More often than not, however, this path leads into meaningless and bitter stations in life that may serve others, but not ourselves, and we become disheartened. To make matters worse, we often arrive at this unhappy place quite perplexed. I counseled a woman once who shared with me her bewilderment about feeling generally unhappy with her life: "I don't get it.
My vision of life is that everything extends from replicators, which are in practice DNA molecules on this planet. The replicators reach out into the world to influence their own probability of being passed on. Mostly they don't reach further than the individual body in which they sit, but that's a matter of practice, not a matter of. In beginning a new year we are able to begin a new set of goals for ourselves personally and professionally. It is as though a new season is upon us and with this new season new possibilities are given. In my previous post One Degree Makes a Significant Difference I stated, “The bottom line is we get to decide what success is for each of us. In doing so we can align our thought patterns and actions towards achieving this goal ensuring it is congruent with our purpose and values. Our values define what is the most important to us and give us purpose and direction.
Jan 29, 2014. As I wrote in my last post, discovering one's personal vision is perhaps the most vital activity in which a person can engage. It is one of the most important keys to finding your path in life and identifying the mission which you have been called to follow. Having a clearly articulated personal vision statement. As I wrote in my last post, discovering one’s personal vision is perhaps the most vital activity in which a person can engage. It is one of the most important keys to finding your path in life and identifying the mission which you have been called to follow. Having a clearly articulated personal vision statement gives one a template of purpose that can be used to initiate, evaluate, and refine all of one’s activities. As Douglas Groothuis writes in his book, In this toxic cultural environment, the Christian needs to know who they are and who they serve. They should be crystal clear on what they are summoned to know, who they are summoned to be, and what they are summoned to do before the face of God. As postmodernists vainly pose and preen for effect, experience and power, Christians can and must lodge their identities firmly in the transcendent reality of the triune God. It is not meant to be written once and blasted into stone. It will hopefully develop more clearly as you learn more about God and yourself. While it rarely changes, you should set aside some time on a regular basis to review your personal vision statement, as well as your career, job, and goals. Your vision is the center of the target, a guiding image of what God has created and called you to be. It is a reason for your existence, guiding you in the decisions you make and the directions you take.

I see myself in dog training class bent over my golden retriever mix, quivering hands holding its new red collar in the "gaining control" position. I say I want to live in a normal house like a normal person. "Come on, Abby*, show her who’s got the thumbs, who’s got the money! They sit blood-side up in a square on my husband's bedside table. He says the place we’re living in, "This old cowboy bank, is perfect for me," and I flap suds at the wall, resting my case. Besides, there is always a chance they would weigh in on his side with praise for our gymnasium-sized living room. He would jump on it, "How many kids get to roller-blade inside their own house?
Jul 18, 2016. My vision is to have a career that allows me to integrate my project manage skills with my transition change management passion and expertise. I am energized by getting results through people, and feel a project is not truly successful unless the end results are achieved and people are adopting the new. One of those days, when I pause and introspect One of those moments, I take stock of life’s true aspects How much love and happiness I have accrued, how much in return I ‘ve spread There’re dreams that I fulfilled while some just faded and withered How much I have achieved and how much more is left The essence of life so far journeyed, the search of soul that lies ahead One of those days, when I feel special and blessed I am grateful to God and all of you who incite this smile Filled with sense of pride for the goals I have met When I sit here today to reminisce and reflect! If feels great this moment, there is peace, quietude, sense of achievement…but can this be a permanent state of mind! I have been mulling over this until I stepped out of an exhaustive two days’ workshop conducted on the understanding and imbibing of our organization’s Vision, Mission and goals. We almost pledged with hand on our heart to live by each and every word of it. If it is the most important and valuable project to us, have we set a clear vision, mission and goal for ourselves. Later, I was complementing at the amount of seriousness and focus our organization attributes to its values and the sense of pride we take to live by them. Isn’t it imperative to replicate this wisdom to our lives at large…. So I started working on this new premise and I conceived my strategy around life more formally, using the same format that we do while making organization’s strategy…..
I think this is important, so that an organization always knows what decisions to make based upon their mission and vision. My personal mission statement is, “I am constantly improving myself, doing everything that needs to be done in a timely manner. I focus on balance within my life. I face problems and mistakes as they. Jer 1:1-19 A man without a vision is a man without a future I Samuel 3:1, Hosea 4:6 Any successful endeavor requires a vision. Helen Keller was asked “What would be worse than being born blind? The word “visions means the ability to see things that are invisible.” in other words seeing things through God's Eyes. ” She replied, “The only thing worse than being blind is to have sight without vision.” A man without a vision is a man without a future. A man without a future will always return to his past." If you are operating by sight, you see the calamity and complexity all around you. Sight without vision is dangerous because it has no hope. Sight is the ability to see things as they are, and vision is the ability to see things as they could be. Life is so full of depressing things that you need to learn to live by vision and see with the eyes of faith. Vision is the ability to see things as they should be. Bible affirms that “For we live by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7) The word translated "vision" refers to the will and purpose of God being made known, "inspired guidance.” God has not left us without inspired guidance.

Published in its inaugural edition, "Science, Delusion, And The Appetite For Wonder: A Talk With Richard Dawkins", the complete text of the Richard Dimbleby Lecture which he had delivered a few weeks earlier on BBC Television in his role at that time as the Charles Simonyi Professor for the Public Understanding of Science at Oxford University. Over the years Dawkins has been among the most frequent (and valued) conversation. I am pleased to present the video and the transcript below. [ED NOTE: The accompanying soundtrack of the New College bells for the first 22 minutes was not part of the plan.] —JB Natural selection is about the differential survival of coded information which has power to influence its probability of being replicated, which pretty much means genes. Coded information, which has the power to make copies of itself—“replicator”—whenever that comes into existence in the universe, it potentially could be the basis for some kind of Darwinian selection. And when that happens, you then have the opportunity for this extraordinary phenomenon which we call "life". My conjecture is that if there is life elsewhere in the universe, it will be Darwinian life. I think there's only one way for this hyper complex phenomenon which we call "life" to arise from the laws of physics.
Read this essay on Personal Vision and Mission. My vision is a long term perspective. It’s included all elements related to my life. As the Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw said: "Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself." Truly, life is a creation -- a gift we can build and shape and alter as we please. But as we busily create, do we have a clear vision of the masterpiece we're molding? Or are we halfheartedly adding pieces to the puzzle day by day, hoping some might be the right fit? More focused on approaching events and current situations, we often don't think in the long term. Before you even begin, you have an understanding of your final result. And that's understandable, because the present affects us now. You know what you're making, what ingredients to add, in what order, and the cooking time. If you were to cook without knowing these steps, you would end up with anything but a good meal.
